The Playa Flamenca Centre
The Villamartin Plaza
A 10 minute drive brings you
to the town of Torrevieja, the closest Spanish town has retained
much of its atmosphere and many Spaniards choose to spend their
holidays here each year. There is an abundance of good restaurants
and bars in the town, providing a lively nightlife.
A firm favourite with children are the Aquaparks at Torrevieja and
Quesada which provide lots of fun in the summer months.

The Playa Flamenca and the Supacore Centres are only a five minute stroll
from the apartment. They have many bars and restaurants, including
entertainment, plus a supermarket, shops and a bank. There is
a Saturday Market close by (below).

The local beaches
are wide and sandy with water sports being very popular especially
at La Zenia during the summer. Most are within a short walk.
The
Villamartin Centre is a short five minute drive, also with
numerous bars and restaurants, and in the summer evenings there
is a variety of entertainment provided in the Plaza.

The lengthy promenade boasts a string of market stalls during
the high season and you’ll need plenty of time to see it
all as it’s huge and sells all types of food, spices, clothing,
textiles and plenty more. Next to this is a fun fair. There is
also a Saturday Market in Playa Flamenca which is growing in popularity.
The salt flats to the west and north of Torrevieja form a nature
reserve which is home to flamingos and all sorts of wild life.
During the day Torrevieja also offers a range of leisure and entertainment
areas. As well as its beaches and numerous terraces along its
maritime promenade, its great aquatic park (Aquópolis)
is swarming with families, young people and children during the
summer months.
Terra
Mitica Theme Park, near Benidorm, is about 1.30min drive away.
